Women's Economic Empowerment Research Initiative
The Women's Economic Empowerment Research Initiative builds on Peterson Institute studies on the global economic impact of gender inequality, demonstrating that discrimination against women is not only morally unacceptable but also an impediment to economic growth and to companies succeeding globally. Much of the research derives from two unique cross-national datasets on women's economic opportunity over time, with further projects set to examine women's corporate leadership roles, various barriers to women's equality, cultural biases and their impact, and policies that work in addressing these problems.
