Description
PIIE’s Rebuilding the Global Economy project proposes urgent policy priorities in 2021 for many US and EU government offices and international organizations. The project suggests ways to restore international openness and cooperation while ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth. This “map” is not comprehensive, but it depicts many of the policymakers and agencies discussed in the project and some of their interactions with international bodies within the global economy.
Even before COVID-19, economic and commercial ties among countries were fraying. But continuing existential threats, like climate change and rising inequality, require governments and international bodies to break with recent isolationist and nationalist trends to find practical and global solutions.
