Gregory Auclair
Gregory Auclair, statistician and quality control coordinator, joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) in 2025. He studies the evolution of corporate profits, with research that explains how market structure and firm heterogeneity are relevant to macroeconomic outcomes.
Before joining PIIE, Auclair worked for several years as a research consultant at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), where he focused on international investment, the taxation of multinationals, and global value chain participation. He previously held roles at the International Monetary Fund and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
He completed his PhD in economics at the Geneva Graduate Institute in 2025 and holds an MPA from Indiana University and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
