Posen Keynote: From solidarity to saving lives and livelihoods

PIIE president Adam S. Posen, assessing the long-term economic costs and opportunities posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, says many industries hit by the virus will be forced to shrink. But economic adaptation will also bring opportunities, particularly in the green economy and teleworking sectors. Ensuring “positive restructuring” should be the economic agenda, Posen says.
