Nishtha Agrawal
Nishtha Agrawal joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics in July 2025 as a research analyst, supporting Senior Fellow Joseph E. Gagnon, President Adam S. Posen, and C. Fred Bergsten Senior Fellow Maurice Obstfeld. Her research covers a broad range of topics in international finance and macroeconomics.
Prior to joining PIIE, she spent nearly three years in social impact consulting, where she contributed to over 20 international development projects focused on agriculture and international trade for the World Bank and various UN agencies across Central America, Africa, and Asia. She is also a coauthor of a published article in the Indian Journal of Management, which examines the Indian Social Stock Exchange as a funding avenue for social enterprises.
She holds a master's degree in international economics and finance from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and is fluent in English and Hindi.
