Gonzalo Huertas
Gonzalo Huertas worked as a research analyst at the Peterson Institute for International Economics from June 2018 to May 2019. He worked with C. Fred Bergsten Senior Fellow Olivier Blanchard on macroeconomic theory and policy. Before joining the Institute, Huertas worked as a researcher at Harvard University for President Emeritus and Charles W. Eliot Professor Lawrence H. Summers, producing work on fiscal policy and macroeconomic assessments on emerging markets, and for Minos A. Zombanakis Professor Carmen Reinhart, focusing on exchange rate arrangements. Previously, he was an economic advisor at the Cabinet of the Chief of Ministers of Argentina.
Huertas holds a master's degree in public administration in international development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a master's degree in international economics from the University of Buenos Aires.
