Asher Rose

Asher Rose was a research analyst at the Peterson Institute for International Economics from July 2022 through July 2025 and worked with Senior Fellows Joseph E. Gagnon and Maurice Obstfeld on a wide range of issues, especially on fiscal and climate policy.

He was previously an intern at Alibaba and GIC and was a research assistant managing the economic policy uncertainty index at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Rose graduated with degrees in molecular engineering and history from the University of Chicago, and has a degree in business analytics from Imperial College London.

Rose speaks Mandarin and Spanish.
