Zhuowen Li
Zhuowen Li joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics as a research analyst in May 2024. He collaborates with Senior Fellows Martin Chorzempa and Nicolas Véron, Nonresident Senior Fellow Yeling Tan, and Research Fellow Tianlei Huang on topics related to China's political economy and financial system.
Prior to joining the Institute, Li worked at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) where he conducted research on China's foreign policy and international security affairs. His writings have been published by The Wire China, South China Morning Post, and The Diplomat.
Li holds a master's degree in analytical political economy from Duke University. He received his bachelor's degree in economics and finance with a minor in psychology from Tsinghua University in China. Li is a native Mandarin speaker.
