Katelyn Hetrick

Katelyn Hetrick joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics as a research analyst in September 2026. She collaborates with Nonresident Senior Fellow Gary Clyde Hufbauer and Senior Fellow Jeffrey J. Schott on international trade issues.

Prior to joining the Institute, Hetrick interned at the Bipartisan Policy Center, the US Department of the Treasury, and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where she focused on economic policy, fiscal analysis, and federal budget and tax policy research.

Hetrick holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Pennsylvania Western University and a master's degree in public policy with a concentration in budget and public finance from George Washington University.
