Svetlana Milbert
Svetlana Milbert, research analyst from 2010 to May 2012, worked with Senior Fellow Mohsin S. Khan. She joined the Peterson Institute after completing her MA studies in conflict management and international economics at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Her master’s thesis included assessment of US foreign aid and its effects on international development. Prior to joining the Institute, she held various fellowships and internships with nonprofit organizations including Save the Children, CARE, and the Protection Project. A world traveler, Svetlana spent over a year traveling through South America after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a BA in government and politics. She is fluent in Russian and Hebrew and has a working knowledge in Arabic.
