New PIIE nonresident senior fellow Elina Ribakova presented on the state of the Russian economic outlook, budget, and military. Jeffrey J. PIIE nonresident senior fellow Steven Fries  spoke about the global oil market amid recent OPEC+ supply cuts and G7-EU sanctions on Russian exports, assessing their market implications, the global price outlook, and further market gambits. PIIE executive vice president and director of studies Marcus Noland moderated the event, drawing from his work on sanctions against authoritarian regimes like North Korea.
