Paulo Guedes, Brazil's minister of the economy, discussed the Brazilian economy and the government’s economic agenda on November 26, 2019, at the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
Minister Guedes assumed office in President Jair Bolsonaro’s administration in January this year. He is the cofounder of the investment bank BTG Pactual and the think tank Instituto Millenium. Guedes has a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago.
