Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs, shared his crucial insights on “Europe’s Pivotal Year” on April 20, 2017, at the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
Before becoming commissioner in 2014, Moscovici had served as France’s minister of finance since 2012. He was a member of the French National Assembly from 2007 to 2012 and again in 2014. He has also served twice in the European Parliament, as a member from 1994 to 1997 and then as its vice-president from 2004 to 2007. From 1997 to 2002 he was France's minister for European affairs.
