Event Summary
The Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) held a virtual event to discuss containing the economic nationalist virus through global coordination on April 15, 2020. Discussants included PIIE senior fellow Monica de Bolle, CEPR research fellow Sergei Guriev, and PIIE president Adam S. Posen.
Monica de Bolle is also an adjunct lecturer for the Latin American Studies Program and formerly the director for the program at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
In addition to his role at CEPR, Sergei Guriev is the scientific director of Sciences Po's Master's and PhD programs in economics. He is also a member of the executive committee of the International Economic Association. During 2016–19, he served as the chief economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
