Ashley Singh
Ashley Singh joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics in August 2025 as a research analyst, supporting Reginald Jones Senior Fellow Chad P. Bown on international trade.
Before joining the Institute, Singh worked with the US Commercial Service's Rural Export Center, producing market research reports and advising US exporters on international market entry. She also interned with the US Commercial Service in Frankfurt and San Francisco, where she supported US companies at trade shows and conducted market analysis to expand transatlantic trade opportunities.
Singh holds a master's degree in international affairs from the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy, where she specialized in international economics and Latin America and was awarded a merit fellowship and the Language Achievement Award. She previously graduated cum laude from the University of California, Davis with bachelor's degrees in managerial economics and international relations. Her honors thesis on EU trade negotiations received distinction in the major and was presented at the 2023 Western Regional Honors Conference in Missoula, Montana. She is a native speaker of Panjabi and conversational in Hindi and Spanish.
