Sunjae Won

Sunjae Won is deputy director at the Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF). He was a visiting fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) during August 2020–February 2021, assisting with the newly established Korean MOEF-PIIE partnership. His research focuses on public finance.

Won has been associated with the MOEF since 2011, where he has also worked in the budget offices for the Welfare Budget Division as well as the Industry, SMEs and Venture Business Division. He has overseen the budget process for the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP).

Won earned his bachelor's degree in economics and business from Yonsei University, Korea.
