ABOUT THE SPEAKER
François Villeroy de Galhau has been the governor of the Banque de France since November 2015. He is a member of the governing council of the European Central Bank. Previously, Villeroy de Galhau served as chief operating officer of the BNP Paribas Group from 2011 until 2015. He has held various posts at the French Treasury, including as head of the General Tax Directorate from 2000 to 2003.
