As the Biden administration takes office, most countries are looking forward to the restoration of multilateralism and American trade leadership. But US trade policy will not simply return to a business-as-usual (pre-Trump) status. How can other countries help the United States to support, strengthen, and improve a multilateral trading system that works for all? What roadmap will pragmatically reinvigorate global trade cooperation? The TACIT project’s paper "Getting America Back in the Game: A Multilateral Perspective" examines these questions and more.
