John Watson, chairman and CEO of Chevron, addressed possible reforms in energy policy at the Peterson Institute on October 19, 2011. Watson discussed the enormous resource potential of the United States and how a fresh approach to energy policy can promote a revival of the US and global economies.
John Watson has been chairman and CEO of Chevron since January 2010. He has been with the firm since 1980 in a series of financial, analytical, and supervisory positions. Mr. Watson has been president of Chevron Canada, president of Chevron International Exploration and Production, and executive vice president for strategy and development. He is chairman of the board of directors and executive committee of the American Petroleum Institute.
