Carlos Márcio Cozendey is the secretary (deputy minister) for International Affairs of the Brazilian Ministry of Finance, which is responsible for the coordination of the Brazilian participation in the G-20 financial track. Previously he served in the Brazilian Diplomatic Mission to the European Communities and to Geneva, and as head of the Mercosul Division in the Ministry of External Relations in Brazil. Cozendey has extensive experience in working in trade policy. He served as Brazilian Representative in the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas (FTAA) negotiations and the Mercosul-EU negotiations. Cozendey has an economics degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a masters in International Relations from the University of Brasilia.
