While computer-savvy South Koreans hacking North Korean sites is apparently OK, pro-Pyongyang tweeting is not. Yonhap reports that 54 year old South Korean man named Cho was arrested for using his blog, Twitter, and other websites to propagate messages praising North Korea and hereditary succession. It is the first known case of someone being prosecuted for using social media under the frequently criticized National Security Law.

The 'National Security Law' has no place in a 'modern democracy' and is actually counter-productive to fostering mature political discussion in South Korea. When will SK lawmakers realise its the 21st Century and get rid of it?
