Research Analyst

The Peterson Institute for International Economics, a leading think tank located at Dupont Circle, Washington, DC, seeks a full-time research analyst to work with Dr. Mary E. Lovely on projects related to the Chinese economy, US-China economic relations, and international trade policy.

Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing economic data, producing charts and graphs for publication and presentations, doing econometric analysis, reviewing policy texts, writing literature reviews, and summarizing results.

Applicants should have a solid understanding of international economics and policy, training in statistics and econometrics, proficiency with Stata and Excel, good writing skills, and attention to detail.  Familiarity with the Chinese economy and proficiency in reading Chinese language documents is preferred.  Candidates selected for a short list will be asked to complete basic Stata and Excel exercises. 

In addition to a resume and three references, applicants should also submit a recent writing sample.
