Cho Soon Visiting Fellow (1987), is now leader of the opposition in the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. He has served as that country's Deputy Prime Minister, as Governor of the Bank of Korea, and as Mayor of Seoul. He was Professor of Economics at Seoul National University prior to joining the Korean Government. He is a member of the Korean Academy of Sciences and has written on the problems of development and on Korea, including The Dynamics of Korean Economic Development (1994). |
